Subjects and Format

At QOA, learners complete their International GCSE over two years (Grade 9 and 10) and the AS Levels (Grade 11 and 12) over the next two years (Applicable from 2025 onwards). Learners are required to select five iGCSE subjects and then complete the same subjects at AS levels subjects besides the second language.

  • The first two core subjects, English and Mathematics need to be completed at iGCSE level and then on AS levels.
  • The third subject is an additional language which requires to be completed at iGCSE level only. QOA offers Arabic or Afrikaans, both as foreign languages.
  • Lastly, learners are then required to select three subjects from our list of electives as their fourth, fifth and sixth subject (effective 2025).
Examinations

Learners undergo external examinations at the end of both periods through examination centres accredited by Pearson Edexcel and/ or Cambridge International Assessment (for the subjects not offered by Pearson Edexcel). All external examinations attract additional costs besides QOA monthly fees.
